Classic Eyes

If you want to make your eyes pop but don’t want to spend a lot of time doing so, add a thin line of black liner that hugs your top and bottom lash line. If you struggle with liquid liner, consider using a gel liner and a lip liner brush.

A Shimmering Lash Line

For a subtle, glittery look, consider limiting the sparkle to your eyeliner. To get this look, apply a thin layer of eyelash glue where you want the glitter to go with a fine-tipped cotton swab. Using a clean swab, gently dab cosmetic glitter where you applied the lash glue.

Glittery Lids

When you’re looking for a look that says, “more is more,” go all out with glitter on your eyelids. To make sure the glitter stays in place, your best bet is a glitter primer, sometimes called glitter glue, or a mixing medium. With glitter primer, apply the primer to your eyelid and then dab on the glitter. If you’re using a mixing medium, blend your glitter of choice with the mixing medium and then apply the mixture to your lids.

Metallic and then some

To make a metallic shadow stand out even more, add a touch of glitter. Use a glitter primer or dewy foundation to help your shadow and glitter stay in place. Then, leaving your lid bare, blend a metallic liner or shadow into your crease. After that, use a brush or your finger and gently press the glitter onto your lids. While silver and gold combinations look great, you may want to get adventurous and try rose gold glitter for something new.

Brighten your eyes

Another subtle but sparkly option is the one used by Alexander Wang on runway models. Tap glitter or shimmery shadow on the inner corner of your eyes. This will make your eyes stand out and appear brighter.

Add something unexpected

If you really want your glitter to stand out, consider a fairly neutral look with a splash of bright glitter on your eyes. One way to diffuse glitter while getting it to stay in place is to use Homeoplasmine, which is a moisturizing ointment. Just apply glitter to your lids using a brush coated in the ointment, and then use a clean, fluffy brush to blend and spread the glitter up towards your brow bone.

Let your wings take flight

Amp up wings by making them colorful and sparkly. Create your wing with a jewel-colored pencil or liquid liner, and then apply a layer of glitter or sparkly shadow on top of your wing. Dusting a shimmery powder over the top of your wing will set it.

Lash extensions

Fake lashes take just about any look up to the next level, but wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to apply them every time you went out? The solution is to get lash extensions, which last for months and give you the look of large, doll-like eyes without even needing to apply mascara. Lash extensions are made of mink hairs, and they look and feel completely natural.
